Happy Mother's Day

I want to wish my Mom a very Happy Mother's Day. She is such a wonderful mother and wife.
I am grateful that the Lord chose her to be my mother and thankful to her for the wonderful example she is to me.
Happy Mother's Day, Mom!!
I also want to share the notes from the message that my Pastor shared this morning in church.
He used the love of a mother as the ultimate object lesson of God's character.
I could see the likeness of my mom's demonstration of love in the love of my Savior for me.
I. Her demonstration of love is like God's
A. She loved you before you were born.
*God loved you before you were His. (Rom. 5:8; John 3:16)
B. She went through much suffering to give birth.
*Christ suffered on the cross because He loved us.
C. She is completely unselfish in her love.
*How often does God bless us and we complain or ignore Him.
D. Her love never dies
*Nothing can separate us from the love of Christ. (Rom 8:35; 38-39)
E. She exercises "tough love". (she doesn't trade future character for present relief)
*God loves us too much to let our character suffer just so we can be happy.
II. Her demonstration of care is like God's.
A. She is concerned about everything that concerns you.
*God is concerned about all that concerns you. (1 Peter 5:6-7)
B. She teaches you the important lessons in life.
*God's lessons are not all easy, but necessary and sometimes painful.
C. She desires your happiness and fulfillment in life.
*God wants to be "proud" of us as we walk as His witness.
III. Her demonstration of grief is like God's.
A. She hurts when you disobey.
*God grieves when His children disobey.
B. She grieves shen siblings do not get along.
* Psalm 133:1
C. She grieves when you leave her out of your life.
*There is no part of our lives that God does not want to be included.
